Mike, our nursery manager, recommends that you dig your hole 4-5" wider than the with of peat pot rose container. Keep in mind the bulbous node needs to be above the soil level, just as you see planted in the peat pot. Cut the bottom of the peat pot off.    
   Then vertically, make 2 cuts (top to bottom) in the sides of the peat pot. Next, place the entire peat pot in the hole, remove the sides of peat pot once the soil level of the peat pot is even with ground level. Fill your hole with soil, pack it in, then water your rose in well and use fertile root stimulator.
   This planting method keeps your rose's root system undisturbed & helps your plant flourish!  Please cover new roses with frost cloth, or a light bedsheet when our night time temps dip into the 30's.
