GOING ON NOW!
Immaculate Conception Election Novena
Sunday, Oct. 27th - Mon., Nov. 4th
In preparation for Election Day, the faithful across the country are being invited to join together in prayer in an Election Novena, seeking the intercession of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of the United States. The nine day novena began last Sunday, and will conclude on Monday, Nov. 4th, the day before the election. It includes the Nine-Month Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Consecration of the Election to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, and the Memorare. We will pray the Novena together after all Masses and on our own when we cannot pray together. Handouts are distributed at the Center. It's not too late to join in! You can access all the prayers HERE.

URGENT LETTER FROM ARCHBISHOP LORI
Catholics Urged to Vote NO on Question 1
"This upcoming election, Maryland voters will be asked to vote on Question 1, the so-called “Reproductive Freedom Amendment.” Question 1 seeks to enshrine abortion in the Maryland State Constitution, an action that is both unnecessary and harmful..." Read the Archbishop's full letter HERE.
And please take a moment to learn more about the dire, far-reaching consequences of accepting this amendment. The misleading, open-ended language would allow it to be applied to our children without restraint or recourse. It is a Trojan Horse. Excellent info HERE.

St. Nicholas Coming to Town!
Friday, Dec. 6th 10:30 am
Bring the children to OLC to meet St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, on his feast day! Children will leave their shoes in the downstairs hallway and then head up to the Chapel with their parents and grandparents. St. Nicholas will surprise them there and tell them about his life, his love of the Lord, and his joy of giving. Afterwards, all are invited to the Conference room for Cookies, coloring and an opportunity to get photos with St. Nick!
Please RSVP if you can so St. Nicholas knows how many bags of chocolate coins to have on hand for the children's shoes (we'll have some extras for last minute drop-ins). Also, let us know if an alternate treat is needed due to dietary restrictions.

One of the awards that were bestowed at the OLC 50th Anniversary celebration was this beautiful plaque. it was given to YOU, our wonderful patrons and benefactors! You can view it at OLC by the front door. We are so grateful for you. The plaque was accepted on your behalf by long time patron and former server, Bob Pallace, and Maria Wittlin, a very active current volunteer leading and promoting a number of devotions here at OLC.

Sylvia James George, mother of Manager Christine, master fine artist, and matriarch of an extensive family (over 60 direct descendants), attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration on what was also her 103rd birthday! She was delighted to be serenaded by 280 people standing and singing Happy Birthday to her. Born exactly four years after the Miracle of the Sun, it was amazing to have her with us as we honored Our Lady of Fatima. Incredibly, she had just recovered from pneumonia to be present as a glowing, earthly visual of our Heavenly Mother's love and joy.

Why Christmas Shop at OLC?
You can feel good about shopping here! We have been trying for some time now, for both ethical and quality reasons, to source most of our items from the USA, Italy, Portugal, Colombia, Equador, Brazil, South Korea and various other countries.
Our products are produced by Catholic companies, religious orders, apostolates and local artisans. We trust our vendors, and they stand behind their work. Buying from us supports them too, and they need it.
OLC is a non-profit 501c3, and all revenue generated goes toward supporting our little shrine and ministry of bringing people to Jesus through Mary.
Come and let us find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. We can be your personal shopper. We can even order for you and drop ship directly from our vendors to you!
While Amazon will likely not miss your support, we are very, very grateful for it! Every First Saturday Mass is offered for the intentions of our patrons and benefactors, and this means you!
Thank you! - OLC Staff
