St. Nicholas Coming to Town!
Wednesday, Dec. 6th 10:30 am
Bring the children to OLC to meet St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, on his feast day! Children will leave their shoes in the downstairs hallway and then head up to the Chapel with their parents and grandparents. St. Nicholas will surprise them there and tell them about his life, his love of the Lord, and his joy of giving. Afterwards, all are invited to the Conference room for Cookies, coloring and an opportunity to get photos with St. Nick!

Please RSVP if you can so St. Nicholas knows how many bags of chocolate coins to have on hand for the children's shoes (we'll have some extras for last minute drop-ins). Also, let us know if an alternate treat is needed due to dietary restrictions.

All Saints Day 2023!
Mrs. Ginny made a great Joan of Arc and was accompanied by the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. Michael, as well as more rarely seen saints such as St. Tarcissus and St. Gemma. Even saints we'd never seen represented before, Justina of Padua, often accompanied by images of unicorns to signify her purity, St. Felix of Nola, the patron saint of spiders, and St. Adelaide, patron saint of princesses, joined in the celebration  Fr. Patrick gave the children a wonderful blessing, and everyone present enjoyed the parade of saints.

A Marian Father Discovers Our Lady's Center
Just days before he departed for Illinois and his new assignment as an associate pastor, Fr. Jim McCormack visited Our Lady's Center for the very first time. Dave and Joan Maroney were unable to make it up from Texas for their scheduled talk on Divine Mercy and the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and so they graciously arranged for their friend and associate, Fr. Jim McCormack, MIC to fill in. We asked if he might also offer the Mass beforehand and expose the Blessed Sacrament for a brief period before the talk. The tone was thus set for a most reverent and deeply informative discussion on the suffering Church and what the pilgrim Church can do to assist the Holy Souls. What a lovely gift for all of us to become acquainted with Fr. Jim and to witness his reaction to the palpable presence of Our Lady here. Please keep him in your prayers as he embarks on his new assignment.

It was a pleasure to introduce Michelle Lache Johnson to OLC when she came to give her talk on finding joy in caregiving. We hope to have her back soon, as many who expressed interest were unable to attend. We did not have nearly enough time with this accomplished and humble lady who just happens to be the Director of Communications for EWTN. She was quite impressed with the selection in our shop,

What a happy surprise to have Fr. Cletus Tita drop in while he was visiting from Cameroon for several weeks. He arrived right when we needed help covering some Masses, and we did not hesitate to ask. Fr. Cletus used to be a regular celebrant here. He told us that when he is here, this is his home. We know just what he means. Those who call Our Lady their mother often find that OLC feels like home.

Why Shop at OLC?
You can feel good about shopping here! We have been trying for some time now, for both ethical and quality reasons, to source most of our items from the USA, Italy, Portugal, Colombia, Equador, Brazil, South Korea and various other countries.

Our products are produced by Catholic companies, religious orders, apostolates and local artisans. We trust our vendors, and they stand behind their work. Buying from us supports them too, and they need it.

OLC is a non-profit 501c3, and all revenue generated goes toward supporting our little shrine and ministry of bringing people to Christ through Mary.

While Amazon will likely not miss your support, we are very, very grateful for it! Every First Saturday Mass is offered for the intentions of our patrons and benefactors, and this means you!

 Thank you! - OLC Staff
