Dimensional Fusing with Fancy Fish Class

Want to add dimension and texture to your fused glass pieces or fused elements for mosaics? This hands-on class will teach you techniques for adding texture and movement for 3-dimensional effects through the use of various fused glass materials, glass paints, and fiber paper. Students will make a large 7” fish that can be incorporated into a mosaic piece or as a standalone piece. Techniques for adding a wire loop for wall display, and resizing and reorienting the pattern will be covered. Students will also make a 4"x4" fused tile that can be rigged for hanging. The class fee of $195.00 will include all materials and lunch.

Fused Fall Forest / Wednesday, October 11, 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
This class is a entry level class that does not require any glass skills. Pre cut 8 x 12" blue backgrounds and white tree trunks will be provided, your imagination will do the rest. Students will learn how to create a beautiful falling leaves scene by using a combination of frits. Texturing techniques for coloring the trunks and the background to creat the illusion of depth will also be discussed. These panels are not quite full fused so as to keep their texture! These pieces may be displayed on a table in plate stand or, for an additional fee, slumped into a dish mold. This project is so cool that some people are doing it more than once! Bring a group of friend for a fun evening out! All materials and one firing included. Class and firing fees are $50.00.

Mosaic Mirrors / Thursdays, October 12, 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
This class is open for everyone, no previous glass skill are required. Students will receive a mirrored base. Bits of glass, shells, and other small treasures will be available to get you started. You may also bring your own treasures such as bits of broken jewelry or china to add that personal connection to your unique art glass mirror. This 2.5 hour class includes materials for $55.00.

Blown Glass Ornaments / Saturday, October 21, 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Here's your chance to try real glass blowing. Students will be given 10 glass tubes (glaskolbens) to heat in a flame then blow into a round, or not, ornament. This is a fun entry level hot glass class but it's not recommended for children younger than 13. Its a great class for friends/families to share. Tuition includes materials for $75.00.

Policies & Refund Policy: Students who withdraw 7 days or more prior to class receive a full refund. Students who withdraw 3-7 days prior to class receive a credit voucher. Refunds or vouchers are not available to students who withdraw 48 hours or less prior to class. In the event of class cancelation, you will be receive a full refund.
